Sinister substance is a collection of songs that tell the story of Planb's life and struggles with Addiction and identity. The title track "Sinister substance" tells a story of opiate addiction and the true impacts it has on everyone around you. Planbstrik9 does not sugar coat his pills are hard to swallow on purpose. The single "heritage" touches on planb's struggle with his own identity as a first nations Mi'kmaw man with roots on both sides of a colonial struggle going back generations. The video was produced by Wapikoni a international organization supporting indigenous artist's all over the world and was shortlisted over 250 other submissions to be included in there premiere in Montreal this past October. Planb (Benjamin Murray) Was awarded the City of Thunder Bay's Respect award from the Crime prevention commitee for his work fostering a healthier more inclusive community free of racial division and systemic abuses. He is currently in the midst of opening a local multi media youth drop in for older teens to early 20s to fill an age gap he fell through himself as a young man. entitled Ghetto Children entertainment they help kid's work on there personal projects on an ongoing basis and continue support through festival submission, distribution and other means of monetization to build potential career paths for the youth we encounter from all over Ontario.
